Top Celebs Support Agbaje '4 New Lagos' In 2015

From history, Lagos State has been mostly fortunate to have good administrators as governing it. The legacy and foresight of past leaders of the state like that of Lateef Jakande are still visible across the state today.

Even during the military era, Lagos was still fortunate to have action governors, who worked well for the advancement of the aquatic state full of excellence.

Due to this history, some have championed that Lagos must not be put in the hands of mediocres, but those with vision, who will work tirelessly in pushing the economic capital of Nigeria forward.

To this effect, as Lagosians go to the polls in 2015 to elect a new governor, some prominent entertainers in Nigeria have endorsed the candidacy of Jimi Agbaje, who many affirmed is fit for the delicate job. These artistes have said ‘let the man whose head fits the cap wear it’. Can these tested and trusted celebrities be wrong? Will they want to stain their hard earned reputation? Many will definitely say ‘no’.

For Jime Agbaje, his vision is to make a new Lagos that will be the pride of Nigerians, both at home and in the Diaspora. To him, his dream is to make Lagos a place where those in the developed world would scramble to come to work and live in. To achieve this, he has championed the ‘4 New Lagos, 4NL,’ campaign with the sign off words, ‘New thinking, New character, New Lagos’ and has been fully embraced by some top entertainers.

Grace Amah, Yemi Blaq, Ronke Odusanya, Alex Okoroji, Femi Branch, John Njamah, Femi Brainard, Wale Adebayo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Segun Obe, Ruggedman, Bayray Mcwizu, Mayowa Adewale, Biodun Okeowo, Tokunbo Coker, Joseph Benjamin and Denrele Edun are among those who have thrown their full weights behind this think-thank group.

In the words of the group’s scribe, “As responsible artistes, we are not card carrying members of any political party and by so we are non-partisan but we have chosen to support the person we believes shares our ideology for renewal and reform. That’s why we are supporting the incredibly loved Jimi Agbaje.

“He represents a new face, a freshness that is devoid of politics of the same. Yet has the credibility to lead us by serving. Jimi Agbaje appeals to us because he is an outsider and has not been influenced by corruption, indifference and negligence that is common with public servants.
