No fewer than three persons were killed in a clash between supporters of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Nasarawa State.
The clash occurred on Tuesday when a lawmaker in the State House of Assembly visited his constituency.
The legislator, Sidi Bako, a PDP member, visited his area, Dadere, in Obi local government area of the state for the first time since his colleagues in the Assembly moved to impeach the state governor, Tanko Al-Makura.
It was gathered that shortly after both party members had caused an initial rancour, some members of the PDP got information that one of them was critically injured, which fuelled others to make a reprisal attack, leaving three people dead in the process.
The Nasarawa State Police Command’s spokesman, Numan Ismaila, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that three persons were killed in the attack while one other person was injured.
