Barely 24 hours after leader of the terrorist group called Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, released a video disclosing his control of Gwoza town in Borno State, members of the group have taken over another town in Borno State near the Cameroonian border.
The latest takeover occurred on Monday morning in Gamboru-Ngala without much resistance, Aproko247 gathered.
This is the second time the insurgents are capturing the community.
In the first invasion, the heavily armed group chased out the Nigerian troops at the military barracks in Ngala, before heading to Gamboru, which is about three kilometres away.
Boko Haram is now in control of Madagali in Adamawa State, Gwoza and Marte in Borno State and Buni Yadi in Yobe State.
In the video released on Sunday, the sect declared Gwoza an Islamic caliphate.
