The recapture of Bama town in Borno State by the Nigerian Army has been confirmed by the Federal Government.
Few weeks ago, members of the Islamic sect captured the town and chased out the military from the community.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, the co-ordinator of the National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, disclosed that the Nigerian Army is now in full control of the area, noting that officers of the military are winning the war against terrorism.
It was also revealed that the terrorists have been driven out of the town and their advancement being blocked by the Nigerian troops.
Omeri also warned Nigerians to desist from purchasing used phones or unregistered SIM cards. He said such SIM cards or phones could have been used for criminal activities, which could later be traced to the present user.
He warned that to avoid unnecessary embarrassment from the security operatives, members of the public should stay away from unregistered SIM cards and used mobile phones.
