It was learnt by Aproko247 that governors of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, met President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday night in Abuja to discuss some party issues. Our correspondent gathered that the meeting took place at the First Lady Conference Room at the Presidential Villa.
The meeting was held behind closed door and ended in the early hours of Monday. It was reliably learnt that the governors were not happy with a directive from the party leadership that automatic tickets would not be granted to its governors.
Going by information gathered by our correspondent, the governors want same privilege given to the President extended to them.
Leadership of the PDP had unanimously endorsed Jonathan as their Presidential candidate in the 2015 presidential poll and the governors want to enjoy same privilege.
Following their grievances, a meeting was called to discuss the development and other sundry issues within the party.
