Martin Agbaso has returned to the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, after he joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, where worked for the victory of the incumbent governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha of APGA.
At a reception held in Owerri to welcome him back into the PDP, Agbaso expressed dismay at the leadership style of Okorocha and apologised to the people of Imo State for his role in selling the governor to them before the 2011 gubernatorial poll in the state.
The former leader of APGA in Imo State said he was returning to the PDP to work for the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election. Agbaso described Jonathan as an achiever.
Speaking at the Imo State PDP Secretariat along Okigwe road in Owerri, Agbaso noted that he was also returning to the party to contest in the 2015 governorship election in the state, expressing optimism of emerging winner of the polls.
According to Agbaso, he will liberate the state by attracting over 120 manufacturing small and medium scale industries that would provide thousands of jobs to Imo youths. He vowed to provide adequate security for residents of the state.
