Jonathan Buys PDP Presidential Nomination Form

On Thursday, October 30, 2014, President Goodluck Jonathan purchased his presidential nomination form ahead of the 2015 general election in Nigeria.

Jonathan obtained the form at the Wadata Plaza Secretariat of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Abuja, after he had told his party that he would be contesting in the polls. His formal declaration is expected to hold on November 11, 2014 in Abuja.

The President purchased the form for N22 million and confirmed that he received not less than N100 million as contribution from some Nigerians, who want him to re-contest in the 2015 presidential election.

Some weeks ago, leadership of the PDP endorsed Jonathan as the presidential candidate of the party. The presidential poll is expected to hold in February 2015.
