Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday, held a closed door meeting with ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo, at his Abeokuta home in Ogun State.
The presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was Obasanjo’s vice when he was Nigeria’s President. Both fell apart at the latter part of their administration, accusing each other of corruption.
Atiku told journalists after his meeting with Obasanjo that they discussed state of the nation. He stressed that his relationship with his former boss is still cordial. They held the talks for about 30 minutes.
Earlier, Atiku visited the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun. He also held a meeting with supporters of APC in Ogun State. He urged members of the party in Ogun State to embrace peace and work for the party’s progress at the 2015 general elections.
