Some officials of the State Security Service, SSS, have prevented Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, from gaining access into the chamber of the House, where his colleagues are meeting today.
Tambuwal was reportedly held by the security agents. He is being kept in a room in the National Assembly complex, reports further said.
Some serious-looking officers of the SSS, police and the Nigerian military have taken over the NASS complex.
The House is re-conveying after it was adjourned on October 28, 2014. Members of the House will deliberate on request of President Goodluck Jonathan to extend emergency rule in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States.
