According to reports, the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Muhammadu Sanusi II, is set to marry a fourth wife.
The respected northern monarch, who was a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, is reportedly taking the teenage daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, as wife.
The soon-to-be Emir’s wife, a 17-year-old girl, will join three other wives of Sanusi as fourth wife.
The Emir of Kano already has three beautiful women as wives. They are; Maryam, Rakiya and Sadiya.
Sanusi became the 14th Emir of Kano in June 2014 after he was controversially suspended from office as the CBN boss by President Goodluck Jonathan.
In Islam, men are permitted to marry a maximum of four wives provided they can all be loved equally.
