An early morning inferno on Monday destroyed properties at the popular Balogun Market in Lagos Island of Lagos State.
The fire, which started around 4:3am, according to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, consumed properties worth millions of Naira.
No human casualty has been confirmed as at the time of filing this report.
The inferno affected the Euro-Asia Plaza in market.
Fire-fighters are at the market making efforts to put the situation under control.
