News reaching Aproko247 indicates that some residents of Benue State took to the streets on Thursday to protest the murder of a popular Pharmacist in the state by some unknown gunmen.
The victim, Terngu Atime, was assassinated by some yet-to-be identified killers, who abruptly ended his vibrant life on the night of Wednesday, January 21, 2015.
Atime, who runs a pharmacy shop in Gboko community, was said to be a man that was loved by many people in the area.
Some angry residents of the area rode on motorcycles to register their displeasure over the assassination of the man.
The deceased, according to reports revealed to us, had the largest pharmaceutical store in the community and reportedly sold drugs to the people of the area at subsidized rates. He was also said to give free drugs to those who could not afford to pay for them.
It was divulged to us that residents occupied the streets in protest of his death, while commercial activities were brought to halt, including banks, markets and stores in the community.
