Boko Haram Kills 28 Near Sambisa Forest

No fewer than 28 persons were feared dead on Thursday morning in a village near Sambisa Forest in Adamawa State.

The Islamic sect, which is presently suffering heavy casualties from the Nigerian troops, attacked Gaya village in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Over the weekend, the Nigerian military launched an onslaught on the terrorists group, causing major losses for the Boko Haram sect.

The Boko Haram raid on Thursday morning is coming just as the military reclaimed about 11 communities from the group, killing over 300 of its members.

It was gathered that the insurgents that attacked the community were some of those sniffed out of the once dreaded Sambisa Forest by a combine team of the Nigerian Air Force and Army officers carrying out a raid in the area.

The insurgents had used the vast forest as its training ground and base before the Nigerian government took the step to engage the group.
