The death of the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Kabir Danbaba, has been confirmed by the Zamfara State government.
The monarch joined his ancestors on Thursday at the age of 91.
The Commissioner for Information in Zamfara State, Ibrahim Magaji, who confirmed the traditional ruler’s death on behalf of the state government, noted that late Danbaba passed away at a private hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.
He is survived by many wives, 37 children and many grandchildren.
