The World Water Day has become a phenomena event, celebrated by the world over because of the importance of water in our society.
World Water Day is celebrated annually on the 22nd of March, with this year theme being ‘water and sustainable development’. It is a day to make a difference, a day to remind us of the population who still suffer from water related issues, a day to raise awareness about the quality of water we use.
Only a few Nigerians know how important clean and safe water is to our health and wellbeing. We need to raise the awareness level of sustaining our fresh water; there were instances of cholera outbreak in Nigeria, this water borne disease should be a thing of the past, if we show the necessary concern to issues related to our water.
