Aproko247 has gathered that the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, on Thursday evening, escaped death by a whisker when some hoodlums believed to be loyal to governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Nyesom Wike, attacked his convoy.
The incident took place at Rumuolumeni town in Rivers State, an area Wike hails from.
It was gathered that Amaechi had gone to the area for a function, but youths in the area, who we learnt were not happy with the face-off Amaechi has with Wike, their man, attacked the governor.
However, the governor escaped unhurt as his security aides whisked him away to safety, but some people were injured in the incident.
