Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sheu Abdulgafar as the new Chairman of the Kwara State Quranic Recitation Committee.
Abdulgafar’s appointment was confirmed on Friday by the state governor, who wished him a fruitful and rewarding tenure in task of promoting Arabic recitation and education in the state.
According to Ahmed, Abdulgafar was appointed because of his experience and his deep knowledge in Quranic education.
The new appointee replaces the former Chairman of the Committee, Malam Abdulsalam Ayinla Ayilara, who passed away recently.
Abdulgafar is the Dan Madami of Ilorin and also a former
Secretary to the Kwara State Government.
