President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has called Muhammadu Buhari to congratulate him on emerging winner of the just-concluded presidential election in Nigeria.
Jonathan reportedly called Buhari at about 5:15pm, according to the Buhari Campaign Organisation, to hail him on the outcome of the election.
It was said that the President and his opponent at the poll spoke for about 6 minutes.
Jonathan contested in the election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Though the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is yet to officially announce winner of the presidential election, but Buhari is leading in the votes already counted.
