Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Kwara State governorship election, Senator Simeon Ajibola, has conceded defeated.
Ajibola, after the announcement of the election result, called winner and governor-elect, Abdulfatah Ahmed at about 10.30pm to congratulate him.
The governor-elect was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the gubernatorial poll in Kwara. He is set to rule the state for a second tenure in office.
Ajibola wished Ahmed a more successful second term for the good of Kwara State.
Also, running mate of Ajibola in the election, Mallam Yinka Aluko, called Ahmed to wish him well.
Responding, the governor-elect thanked Ajibola and Aluko and gave them his best wishes for the future.
