Some residents of Ikorodu, a suburb of Lagos, woke up on Saturday morning to witness a horrifying death of no fewer than four persons, who were reportedly killed by a truck carrying fully loaded container.
Our reporter gathered that the ugly incident occurred in Agric Bus Stop area of Ikorodu while some residents were still struggling to rise from their respective beds.
The four fatal human casualties happened at the scene of the accident.
Eyewitness accounts have it that the incident, which also left several others injured, occurred when the heavy vehicle conveying the container to an unspecified location fell on two commercial buses popularly called danfo, which carrying some passengers.
One of the drivers was among the dead victims.
Sympathisers quickly rushed to the scene for rescue operations while some of the injured victims were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatments.
There have been similar incidents recently in Lagos.
