Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has announced the appointment of the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Lasisi Oluboyo, as his new deputy.
This followed the impeachment of the former deputy governor, Ali Olanusi, on Monday by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Mimiko sent Oluboyo’s name to the House for ratification as required by law.
Olanusi was impeached by 24 out of the 26 members of the state assembly. The two lawmakers who did not sign the impeachment were not present at the plenary session on Monday and they belonged to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
