Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has withdrawn a case he instituted against the 19 lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
The matter was taken away from court on Wednesday.
Fayose had run to court to stop the congressmen from impeaching him as Ekiti governor as well as his deputy, Kolapo Olusola.
At the hearing on Wednesday, counsel to the governor, Ahmed Raji (SAN), told Justice Ahmed Mohammed that his client wants the matter withdrawn from court and it was immediately struck out.
The governor and the opposition lawmakers have been at loggerheads since the former assumed office in late 2014.
