A recently re-elected Senator from Borno State, Khalifa Ahmed Zanna, has passed on.
The politician kicked the bucket on Saturday afternoon at his residence in Abuja.
He breathed his last after returning from Germany on Thursday, where he visited a hospital in the European country for treatment.
He was elected into the upper chamber of the National Assembly in the March 28, 2015 election to represent Borno Central Senatorial District.
He was aged 59.
Meanwhile, sympathisers have continued to throng his residence to pay condolence.
Recall that a Boko Haram kingpin, Shuaibu Mohammed Bama, was reportedly apprehended at the residence of the deceased sometimes ago.
