Information reaching us shows that oil marketers in Nigeria have called off their industrial action, which has grounded the country’s economy.
They are to start supplying the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly called fuel, within the next six hours.
The marketers ended the strike, which has lasted several days, after one of their own, Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital Oil and Gas ordered his drivers to start loading fuel at his depot in Apapa to different locations in the country.
Ubah claimed there was no need for his colleagues to make life unbearable for Nigerians.
The marketers decided not to supply fuel to filling stations over subsidy claims. They refused to lift the petroleum product until the Federal Government paid them the money.
Some companies had started folding up because of shortage in the petroleum products.
