President Muhammadu Buhari has made his first set of appointments since he was sworn-in as the number one citizen of Nigeria last Friday.
He has approved the appointment of Femi Adesina as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, and Garba Shehu as his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.
Their appointments were confirmed on Sunday evening in Abuja by the new President.
Also, Lawal Abdullahi Kazaure was named as the State Chief of Protocol.
Before his appointment, Adesina was the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun newspapers and also the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE.
On the part of Shehu, he was a former President of NGE and also served as the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation.
