FIFA U20: Brazil Humbles Nigeria

The Nigerian Under 20 team at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in New Zealand opened their Group E match against Brazil with a loss.

The Flying Eagles lost 4-2 to Brazil in a match played in the early hours of Monday (Nigerian time).

Gabriel Fernando de Jesus opened the scoreline for Brazil in the 4th minute, but Nigeria’s Success Isaac levelled the scoreline 10 minutes into the encounter.

Musa Yahaya put Nigeria ahead in the 28th minutes, but the lads from Nigeria did not enjoy the lead for more than six minutes.

In the second half, Brazil scored two unreplied goals through Gabriel Boschilia and Judivan in the 59th and 82nd minutes respectively.

Before Sunday’s game, Nigeria has met Brazil at the same competition four times. Brazil has won three and drawn one.

Group E also has North Korea and Hungary.
