Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has returned to Abuja from his trips to Niger, Chad.
On Wednesday, the newly sworn-in President of Nigeria left the shores of the country to the two neighbouring countries to discuss how best to tackle incessant attacks by the Boko Haram militants in communities bordering the three countries.
It was his first trip abroad since he became President on Friday, May 29, 2015.
Buhari returned to Nigeria on Thursday via the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja and was welcomed by an entourage who waited for him at the presidential wing of the airport.
It is believed that the President got the full supports of his counterparts in Niger and Chad in their resolve to jointly defeat terrorism.
