The rain of bomb attacks in north-east Nigeria continued on Thursday night when a suicide bomber invaded Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
The incident occurred few minutes before 8pm.
No fewer than 12 persons were killed in the bomb explosion, while several people were injured.
It was learnt that the blast took place in front of the Jimeta main market in Yola just when some Muslims were returning from the mosque where they went for the Maghrib prayer.
The explosion forced traders in the area to quickly close for the day.
