Another bomb explosion has occurred in the north eastern part of Nigeria. This time, in Kano State barely 24 hours after a twin attack claimed the lives of more than 40 persons in Jos, Plateau State and over 100 people in Borno State last week.
It was learnt that a female suicide bomber detonated her explosives at a mosque in the ancient city just when some Muslims were praying in the mosque after the day’s fast.
Our correspondent gathered that bomber, who targeted a congregation of female worshippers at Aliyu bn Abi Talib mosque, detonated the bomb immediately she was denied entry into the prayer area.
She was killed instantly on the entrance of the mosque, located off Dangi Roundabout in Kano.
It was learnt that it was only the suicide bomber that died in the explosion.
