A former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako and his son, Abdulazeez, have been granted bail in the sum of N350 million.
The duo are facing trial for a N29 billion fraud allegation levelled against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Nyako and his son were arraigned at a Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday and after hearing their bail applications, the judge granted them a bail of N350 million.
EFCC accused Nyako and his son along with two others of using five companies; Blue Opal Nigeria limited, Serore Farms & Extension Limited, Pagoda Fortunes Limited, Towers Assets Management Limited and Crust Energy Limited to siphon N15 billion belonging to Adamawa State government.
They however pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
