No fewer than two persons were feared dead in a suicide bomb attack on Saturday morning in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The suicide bomber and one other person reportedly died in the attack, which occurred near the office of the Directorate of State Security Services and directly opposite Elkanemi College.
The bomber was said to have rode a three-wheeled vehicle to the scene and detonated his explosives, which also injured few others.
Eyewitnesses claimed the incident occurred few minutes past 7am on Saturday.
Security officials have reportedly condoned off the area.
There has been a rise in suicide attacks in the volatile northeast of Nigeria since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed office on May 29, 2015.
However, the government says it is winning the war against terrorism in the region.
