The Imo State Election Tribunal has struck out a petition filed against the state governor, Rochas Okorocha, by former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha.
Ihedioha contested the Imo State governorship election with Okorocha on April 11, 2015, which was won by the latter.
He ran for the position under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, while Okorocha under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
However, after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Okorocha as winner of the poll, Ihedioha challenged it and took the matter to the Tribunal.
But on Wednesday, his case was dismissed by the Tribunal.
Details later.
