Wife of Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Toyin, has said she is ready to honour the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
It was scooped that the former Kwara State First Lady is needed at the office of the anti-money laundering agency over issues relating to corruption allegations.
Mrs Saraki is expected to report to EFCC Abuja office for questioning on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
Speaking through her Private Secretary, Akeem Olagoke, Mrs Saraki noted that she would be glad to help the EFCC with “any lawful enquiries they may have, as a law abiding, transparent and accountable private citizen.”
The statement added that, “Her Excellency, Mrs Toyin Saraki, Founder of Wellbeing Foundation Africa and wife of the Senate President has been informed by her office that a letter of invitation was delivered to her office, by and from the EFCC.”
The EFCC has also invited former Kebbi State First Lady, Zainabu Yar’adua-Dakingari, daughter of late former President Umaru Yar’Adua.
She is also needed at their office to answer corruption allegations against while her husband was in office. She would be at their office on Monday, July 27, 2015.
