Police in Osun State have apprehended a Special Adviser to Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Bode Olugbore, over the death of his girlfriend, Kemi Arobieke, about two weeks ago.
The deceased was said to have travelled from Lagos to Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday, August 6, 2015, to spend some time with her lover, but never made it back to her abode Lagos.
Kemi is reportedly a graduate of the Lagos State University and has known Bode for about four years without the knowledge of her family.
Brother to the victim narrated that, “My sister travelled to Osogbo and she was supposed to return to Lagos on Saturday, but we got a call from the police that she was involved in an accident and it was very serious.
“We got to Osogbo but the police prevented us from seeing her only to be told that she was electrocuted. She was said to have been electrocuted by a fan, but it is unbelievable.
“The current in a fan is not enough to kill, except one has direct contact with a live wire. The mark on her body suggests something contrary.”
But the police have promised to issue a statement on the matter to the public very soon, according to the Osun Police spokesperson, Mrs Folasade Odoro.
