A new Emir has been announced for Missau community and he is the present Secretary to Bauchi State Government, Ahmed Suleiman.
Suleiman is ascending the throne came after the demise of the former Emir of Misau, Muhammadu Manga III on Monday, August 17, 2015.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary in charge of Political Affairs, Government House, Bauchi, Malam Hashimu Yakubu, disclosed that, “Following the death of the 10th Emir of Misau, Alhaji Muhammadu Manga III on Monday, 17th Aug. 2015, and pursuant to the powers conferred on him by section 3 (i) of the Chiefs (Appointment and Deposition) Law, His Excellency, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman as the 11th Emir of Misau.”
The new Emir is member of the National Institute (mni) who held the position of Secretary to Bauchi State Government twice and other various positions in the past. He was born on April 1, 1950.
He first served as Bauchi SSG and Head of Service from 1996 to 1999 and later retired from the service. He was reappointed as SSG on Jyly 3, 2015.
