Former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday morning, stormed Port Harcourt, the state capital amid rumour that he angrily jetted out of Nigeria to London on Friday after President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Engr Babachir David Lawal and Abba Kyari as his Secretary to the Federal Government and Chief Of Staff respectively.
Before the appointments of Lawal and Kyari on Thursday, Amaechi was tipped to be Buhari’s Chief of State.
But proving his critics wrong, the former governor showed up in Port Harcourt and attended a church service in the capital city.
He was received by some of his associates, who defied the rain and restriction of movement due to sanitation exercise.
