Reports from England suggest that Manchester United have opened talks with their Spanish goalkeeper, David De Gea.
His present deal with the club ends in 2016 and he was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this season, after Iker Casila was sold to Porto. The move reportedly crashed on last transfer day.
But according to latest reports, the English club have met with the 24-year-old De Gea, who moved to the club in 2011, and he could pocket about £200,000 a week if the new contract is sealed. De Gea had previously snubbed extending his deal with United until now.
United manager, Louis van Gaal, has not played De Gea this season, instead opting for Argentine goalie, Romero, who was signed this season.
There are also indications that De Gea may make his first start of the season on Saturday in a match against their bitter rival, Liverpool.
