The Presidency has again denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is planning to relocate the Chapel at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Few weeks ago, there were reports that the President ordered worshippers at the Chapel, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, not to be allowed into the Chapel. It was also reported then that the children’s wing of the Chapel was locked too.
This week, another report claimed Buhari is under pressure to relocate both the Chapel and mosque at the Villa to another location. It was said that the Chapel is located very close to his bedroom and that noise from the place of worship allegedly disturbs him.
But reacting to the issue on Wednesday, Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, maintained that such claims are totally false.
“Claims that Buhari moved against Christian activities in Aso Rock Chapel have since been shown to be false. The sorting out of procedural issues cannot be a fair basis to accuse the President of moving against the Chapel,” Akande said on Twitter.
Muslims have spread child abuse, abuse of women, violence, torture, rape, murder, and war since the day Islam was created. That is all they offer the world today.
