I Can’t Flaunt My Curves On Set—Precious Chukwu Eke

The movie industry in Nigeria, fondly called Nollywood, is surely blessed with many attractive ladies and this is why most of them compete amongst themselves for fame.

In the process, some of them go extra mile to get the attention of the general public through different media stunts.

It could be recalled that shortly after Tonto Dike partook in the Next Movie Star competition some years ago, not many looked at her side because she used to be on the shy side then. However, she started getting attention, when she dared what people would say and her controversial side started to make news.

She took her craft further few years ago by acting in a very controversial movie with the late Muna Obiekwe and Jibola Dabo. Today, she is regarded as the queen of controversies in the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

But for Precious Chukwu Eke, a fast-rising actress, she wants to get fame through her acting skills without showing off her curves as some of her contemporaries would have done.

Precious, who spoke recently after the wrap of a yet-to-be released flick, ‘My Neighbour’s Wife’, shot in Owerri, Imo State, where she played the role of Suzan, described her character in the film as very challenging.

“It’s so hectic because I saw myself doing a role that is not part of me. It’s not in any way known to be my kind of person, as it involves the character Suzan who happens to be a player.

“I really love the character even with its challenge. I would want to play it over and over again, because it brought out the best in me. And guess what? It was a wrap for me, as my best was offered,” she said.

In her remarks on if she can show off her asset in a movie, she said, “Will I even say that I have a busty look that can’t fit such wears? But the truth remains that I can’t go with pant and bra on set.”
‘My Neighbour’s Wife’, produced by Kingsley Okereke of Divine Touch Productions, was directed by Reginald Ebere.

The film featured prominent faces like Uche Ogbodo, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Andy Ike, Mimi Orjiekwe, Nina Bolanle, Shirley Igwe, Charles Billion, Osita Dike (Egbeigwe-Apama), Chinenye Uyanna, Adaeze Eluke alongside others.
