President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived New York for the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, Femi Adesina, his spokesman has revealed.
The President was received at the JFK international airport by Nigerian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Prof Joy Ogwu; Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Paul Bulus Lolo; and National Security Adviser, Monguno Babagana.
Buhari is expected to deliver a keynote address at the meeting on Monday, September 28, 2015.
While in New York, the President will hold series of meetings and interactions with notable world leaders, including President Barack Obama, President Francois Hollande and the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki Moon.
Some of the issues he might discuss with the, include domestic developmental issues, bilateral relations, the war against terrorism and countering violent extremism.
