Flying Eagles player, Wilfred Ndidi has congratulated Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos, MFM FC, on their promotion into the elite Nigeria Premier League.
Ndidi, who now plies his football trade in Genk of Belgium, played for the Dr DK Olukoya-led church’s football club for about three seasons before leaving them.
The defender wished his former team mates success as they play in the country’s highest league football division.
He praised his former coach, Nduka Ugbade, a former Nigerian international, for grooming him into a professional footballer.
Ndidi said, “I was very happy when Joshua Enaholo told me about MFM FC’s promotion to the premier League. It’s a dream come true. I can’t forget a team that gave me an opportunity to showcase my talent right from the military cantonment in Maryland, Lagos.”
He said further, “Coach Nduka Ugbade taught me almost everything I know today about professional football. I’m grateful to him and MFM. My prayer is that the team will do well in the Premier League come next season.”
