Relief materials have been distributed to victims of the flood that ravaged Kaduna State last week, Aproko247 has learnt.
The items were given to the victims by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.
Last Monday, flood affected 10 Local Governments Areas of Kaduna State, which rendered many residents of the areas homeless and several properties destroyed.
Representative of North West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Musa Ilalah, during the presentation, distributed food items, toiletries, bedding and mosquito treated nets to the victims. He explained that the gesture is to alleviate their suffering.
Some of the victims, while explaining their ordeal, said that it would take them weeks to settle and live a normal life again, as many families continue to stay with relatives.
According to them, children have not been able to attend schools because many parents have relocated to safer environments.
Some of them appealed to the government of Kaduna State to come to their rescue.
