Pandemonium broke out on Wednesday night in Oshodi area of Lagos State when thugs killed an aide to NURTW big boy, Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo.
The deceased, Olayinka Mamowora, fondly called Mamok in Oshodi, was said to have been murdered by a rival gang of the transport union at about three houses away from his house on Mosaku Street.
He was reportedly having a haircut when his assailants struck, leaving him in a pool of his own blood.
Mamok, a relative to Senator Olorunimbe Mamora, a former Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, was reportedly shot in the head by his killers, 10 in number, who were said to have rode on motorcycles.
The incident left many residents of the area to run to safety.
It was gathered that when MC Oluomo arrived at the scene of the incident, he urged his aggrieved loyalists to remain calm and allow the police do their job. He was said to have asked them to remain peaceful and not retaliate.
Mamok, aged 46, was survived by an aged mother, wife and a child.
