Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police has vowed to invite Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, better known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, over the shooting of a female student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago Iwoye in the wee hours of Sunday, October 11, 2015.
The musician was in Ago Iwoye on Saturday to perform at a well-publicised concert held at Limelight Hotel alongside top hip hop artistes in Nigeria.
According to reports, the victim, Kofowora Azeez, a student of the Department of Business Education, was allegedly shot by a bodyguard attached to KWAM 1 at about 1am on Sunday. The bullet reportedly hit the lady in the bottom.
She was said to have been rushed to General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode, while the shooter is no where to be found.
Spokesman of the police in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the musician will be quizzed over the incident and the culprit brought to book. However, owner of the hotel, where KWAM 1 performed, Sesan Rufai, has been questioned by the police and released on bail.
