Managing Director of the Lekki Free Zone Ltd, Tajudeen Disu has been shot dead in a fracas that broke out in Lekki area of Lagos State on Monday morning.
Disu was said to have gone to a community near Ibe-Lekki called Okunraiye, where villagers protested the “forceful takeover” of their land.
It was said that the villagers kicked against the alleged takeover of their land by the Lagos State government on behalf of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote and the Lekki Free Zone Ltd. But during the protest, Disu was allegedly shot dead with another person.
However, the Lagos State government has directed the police to fish out those behind the death of Disu.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode ordered the Commissioner of Police in the state to apprehend perpetrators of the act for them to face justice.
Meanwhile, the corpse of the last MD has been deposited at the Lagos State University Hospital for a post-mortem.
