Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd), has informed his men that he will not condone corruption in the service.
Ali made this known during a familiarization visit to Customs formations and stakeholders in Lagos on Monday.
The retired military officer urged his men to sit up because his tenure is about rebranding the agency, which is largely seen as one of the most corrupt in the country.
“I have zero tolerance for corruption,” the Customs boss told officers in Lagos during the visit.
However, he said welfare of men of the Nigeria Customs Service is top in his agenda. “Welfare of Officers and Men is paramount in my agenda.”
He urged officers of the agency to ensure they give quality service.
