Lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola, fondly called Yayi, has chided Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, describing its members as an unserious disorganized bunch of individuals.
Senator Adeola made this comment following the loss of the Lagos PDP at the Supreme Court in the case that was filed challenging the victory of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as governor of Lagos State.
While congratulating Ambode on his victory, the lawmaker said the party should not have shown desperation in ruling Lagos.
He further said the Lagos PDP should have seen the handwriting on the wall after losing at the Court of Appeal.
Senator Adeola said with the distraction over, Governor Ambode can now concentrate on delivering on the mandate given by majority of Lagosians, adding that with the state executive council now in place, residents can now expect to start enjoying the dividends of democracy as promised by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The senator said that members of the federal legislature from Lagos State will collaborate with Governor Ambode to make the state enjoy benefits of being the commercial capital and former seat of government in Nigeria.
