Chaos As Police, Okada Riders Flex Muscle In Lagos

According to reports reaching us, some motorcycle riders in Lagos State on Wednesday evening engaged policemen, who tried to arrest their members.

A resident of Oke Afa near Jakande Estate told our correspondent that the policemen had attempted to arrest motorcycle riders plying Canoe area of Oke Afa, but resisted.

While the security operatives tried to force an arrest, according to the eyewitness, other members intervened and allegedly attack the officers.

This, we learnt, resulted into a fracas and threw residents of the area into pandemonium.

As at the time of filing this report, we learnt normalcy is beginning to return to the area, while more policemen have been deployed there to forestall any further breakdown of law and order.
