5 Deputy Comptroller-Generals Of Customs Resign

News reaching us confirms that five of the six Deputy Comptroller-Generals of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, have resigned their appointments.

In a letter dated Thursday, October 29, 2015, and addressed to the Chairman, Nigeria Customs Service Board in Abuja and titled Voluntary Retirement, the five officers said their decision to leave the service was unanimous.

They did not give any specific reason for their resignation, but the officers thanked the President for giving them the opportunity to serve their country.

“We the under-listed officers currently on the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs met today, 29 October, 2015, and unanimously decided to voluntarily retire from the service of the service of Nigeria Customs Service haven risen to the privileged rank of Deputy Comptroller-General,” part of the letter reads.

The officers concluded by saying, “We wish to thank the President for giving us the opportunity to serve our great nation, Nigeria.”

The affected officers are DCG Atte, A.J; DCG Musa, T.A; DCG Mera, I.M; DCG Nwosu, A.C; and DCG Adewuyi, A.A.
