Gunmen have abducted one Madam Ebifeghe Dikoro on Thursday in Bayelsa State, Aproko247 has learnt.
The victim is the mother of Wilberforce Igiri, who is the running mate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the state, Timipre Sylva.
She was reportedly kidnapped by some unknown hoodlums and whisked away to an undisclosed location. Madam Dikoro is said to be 100 years old.
There are speculations that the incident is politically motivated. The gubernatorial election is set to hold in Bayelsa State in December 2015.
